Title Protocol Description of Slide Set
Pictures of the Valley All These slides show various land cover types in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. These are intended to be used with the Ecology Explorers lesson, Environmental Perceptions and Perspectives.
Historical Aerial Photos All

These are historical aerial photos from various locations in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. These photos can be used in conjunction with the Ecology Explorer's lesson, Historical Air Photo Interpretation.

Insect Identification from Traps Arthropods Slides include pictures and descriptions of the ground arthropod protocol from start to finish. Great photos to assist with identification of arthropods to order. Developed by Michael Brand (Oasis Elementary)
Bruchid Beetles and Blue Palo Verde Trees Beetles/seeds Slides include pictures of various bruchid beetle species, their stages of development, a key to identifying bruchids and how to identify blue palo verde trees.
Bird Identification Cards Birds Slides include pictures and descriptions of twelve birds you might see in the Phoenix area. The slides can be printed to make identification cards. The cards go along with the display board we have available for checkout.
Land Use History of Maricopa County (1912 – 1995) Land Use Slides include color and black and white maps displaying land use change in Maricopa County from 1912 – 1995. Super for making handouts and overheads! Included are slides with a summary of historic land use in Maricopa County.
