Project Summary:
Their final project are decorated trashcans. They are decorated with: plant life, birds, natural resources of the Rio Salado, endangered species that could be found in the Rio Salado, water usage, and handprints.
Highlights for the year:
The students at Valley View have learned about Arizona resources. Highlights included: seeing what conditions grew best for grass and flowers, learning about the importance of rain in the area historically and today, producing boxes by reusing paper, constructing paper airplanes and relating that to bird flight, and constructing habitat dioramas on Arizona animals. |
