Project Summary:
Our final project was the construction of our stepping-stones. We first researched our ideas and then created a blue print as to how we wanted each stepping-stone to look like. Over the course of the last few weeks, the students have created a unique depiction of something that represents the Rio Salado to them.
Highlights of the year:
Over the course of the semester Science Club focused on the theme water. We were able to study more in-depth the qualities of good vs. bad drinking water by building water filters, investigating the properties of water by having cardboard boat races, and constructing rockets to see how they fly. The highlights of this semester were fieldtrips to the Rio Salado were the children were able to apply what they learned through various activities and the construction of our stepping-stones.
