Project Summary
The students decided on the following three final projects for Rio Salado:
1. Trash can murals - to keep the area clean.
2. Animal information display board [2MB PDF] - to aid visitors in
animal and plant identification.
3. Animal print stepping stones - enable public
visitors to observe animal tracks.
This semester we learned about the Sonoran desert ecosystem including riparian areas as well as compass and GPS skills. Some highlights included making molds of animal prints and a special visit from the raptors of the Arizona Game and Fish Rehabilitation Center.
