Project Summary
The students have made animal rock sculptures found in the Rio Salado for our final project. To complete this project the students did research on the wildlife found at the Rio Salado. Additional research was done by groups on their specific animal. The rock sculptures were pieced together by the students using glue and mortar.

Highlights for the year:
Throughout the semester the students learned about conservation. Students were able to use GPS units and the internet to learn more about different animals. Students also were taught how to identify different types of plants, and learned the importance of the desert crust (while making observations under microscopes).
