Project Summary

We have begun construction on insect models to be placed at the Rio Salado in locations where people would most likely see live ones. This has become a year-long project. This semester we are creating a banner showing activities that have been done throughout the semester. This banner will be placed in the school to inspire students to join club and create a sense of pride.

Highlights for the year:
Throughout the semester the students have been learning about the insects, microclimates, and other aspects of the environment related to the school and Rio Salado. Highlights included: testing soil and water, identifying insects along the Rio Salado, and watching a video of a person eating an insect.
