Project Summary: Our project was to make a bench, pamphlet holder, and a pamphlet full of information about animals that are found at the Rio Salado (see Powerpoint). Our theme for our project was to read and relax in our backyard. The Rio Salado is like a backyard to all Phoenix residents and we provided a way for visitors to relax and read about the Rio Salado.

Semester Highlights: Throughout the year Bethune has focused on connecting the Rio Salado to our backyards. First we learned about the plants and animals that live in the Rio Salado. We then focused on the ecosystem and history of the Rio Salado. One highlight was a guest speaker from the Archeological Research Institute.
