Among the scientists were two Ecology Explorer students. An eighth grade student from Larry Langstaff's class at Hendrix Junior High presented bird data his class has been collecting in their schoolyard. According to the student he has "...learned how to identify what an Inca Dove is, before I just thought doves were doves." See the Hendrix Jr. High poster.
Ms. Blasdell's class from Mountain View High School had three posters at the session. One student was able to come and share her research. She did a study to find out if the time of day affected bird sightings. Read her poster to see what she found!!! See the Mountain View High School posters.

Both students seemed to enjoy themselves as they talked with other bird researchers and found out about research that is happening throughout Central Arizona. Start thinking about a research project you want to share next year at the CAP LTER Poster Symposium!
